The role

The Assistant Media Planner assists in the development of effective, innovative, and strategic solutions and is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and execution of approved media plans. The Assistant Media Planner also provides support to key team members in daily account management. Reports directly to the Media Supervisor.

What you'll do

Account & Client Management

  • Responsible for day-to-day maintenance of assigned accounts (billing issues, budget revisions, flowchart updating, competitive analysis, post-buy analysis, etc.). Maintains detailed and accurate records. Monitors media agreements and contracts with outside media vendors.
  • Produces work that delivers on client goals and gains industry recognition for its creativity and results. Constantly seeks and creates creative opportunities in both media choice and usage to increase visibility/impact.
  • Works closely with the Media Planner in the development and direction of media strategies and POV’s. Conducts media research, brainstorms, evaluates data, and develops points of view. Understands various media and their applications against client strategies and goals.
  • Works to understand the client's business (market share, business priorities, key competitor strategies, etc.).
  • Communicates effectively with Media Supervisor and Media Planners, keeping them abreast of day-to-day status and flagging and elevating any concerns.

Vendor & Media Evaluation

  • Evaluates publications, websites, broadcast, outdoor locations, etc. for their relevance in accomplishing client’s strategic goals.
  • Evaluates inventory against audience segments for a range of media vehicles (display, video, mobile, paid social, native) to determine which would most effectively reach the target audience.
  • Studies demographic data/consumer profiles to identify desired target audiences for online advertising.
  • Stays abreast of key developments/trends/issues in media (e.g., population, demographic, lifestyle, media usage changes).
  • Maintains effective relationships with media vendors, ensuring Noble People is represented in a positive way.

Campaign Execution & Maintenance

  • Assists Media Planner to ensure proper progression of media buys, such as timely issuance and receipt of client authorizations, delivery of paperwork to vendors, specs to creative agencies, delivery of creative assets to vendors, etc.  
  • Responsible for the preparation of insertion orders and placement of advertising with media vehicles.
  • Using multiple sources of external data, performs campaign analysis directly relevant to, and to assist in, optimizations, planning, and/or buying decisions.
  • Implements, traffic, troubleshoots, and analyzes digital campaigns using a third party ad server.
  • Monitors media for pacing, delivery, placement, and flight-date discrepancies and negotiates credit or billing adjustments when necessary.

  • Checks calculations for campaign forecast/projected results, reach and frequency of potential media vehicles.
  • Stays abreast of key developments/trends/issues in media (e.g., population, demographic, lifestyle, media usage changes).

Requirements

  • At least 2 years’ experience as a Media Planner in a creative media agency with hands-on digital planning experience including buying, implementation, analytics, and optimization.
  • Experience managing and having a an Assistant Media Planner promoted preferred.
  • Experience executing and managing buys directly through Facebook and Twitter preferred.
  • Working knowledge of ad servers and Google Analytics required.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize with multiple projects and clients with different timelines and deliverables.
  • Exceptional written, verbal communication skills required.
  • A proven track record of gaining trust and respect by consistently demonstrating sound creative, strategic, and analytical thinking skills.

We are seeking an outgoing, ambitious, and creative Associate Media Director to join our growing Media team in our New York City office.

The Associate Media Director is a senior-level role that will report directly to the Group Media Director. The primary responsibility of the Associate Media Director is to oversee the planning, implementation, and optimization of media campaigns across various channels to meet our marketing and advertising goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Media Director and other team members to develop comprehensive media strategies aligned with our marketing objectives and target audience.
  • Lead the media planning process, which involves researching and selecting media channels, negotiating media rates, and managing media budgets. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging media platforms to identify new opportunities for reaching the target audience effectively.
  • Oversee the execution of media campaigns across various channels, such as TV, radio, print, digital, social media, and out-of-home. Ensure campaigns are launched efficiently, within budget, and in line with the established strategy.
  • Manage a team of media planners and buyers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
  • Delegate tasks effectively, review work quality, and foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients to understand their business objectives, marketing goals, and target audience. Attend client meetings, presentations, and discussions to provide media expertise, address concerns, and present campaign results.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with media vendors, negotiate contracts, and secure favorable rates and placements. Stay informed about industry changes, new advertising opportunities, and emerging media technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field. A masters degree is a plus
  • At least 5 years experience in media planning, buying, and campaign management, preferably within an advertising or media agency
  • In-depth knowledge of various media channels, including digital, social, traditional, and emerging platforms
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools to measure campaign performance and identify optimization opportunities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate media strategies and campaign results to internal teams and clients

Job Description

We are looking to add a Recruiter to our New York City office. The Recruiter will play a crucial role in identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent for our organization. As a Recruiter, you will collaborate closely with our hiring managers and internal stakeholders to understand the staffing needs and strategically source and evaluate candidates who possess the skills, experience, and cultural fit required for success in our fast-paced industry.

Job Responsibilities

  • Utilize various sourcing techniques to identify potential candidates for open positions within the media agency.
  • Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and assess candidate qualifications and fit for the role
  • Partner with hiring managers and HR team to develop effective recruitment strategies and plans that align with business objectives and workforce needs. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to attract top talent in the media industry
  • Coordinate and conduct interviews, both in-person and remotely, with candidates. Evaluate their technical expertise, experience, and cultural fit. Facilitate the interview process, including scheduling interviews, coordinating feedback, and making recommendations to hiring managers
  • Contribute to enhancing our brand by ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process. Maintain consistent communication with candidates, provide timely updates, and act as a brand ambassador for the organization
  • Build and maintain a robust talent pipeline by proactively networking, attending industry events, and fostering relationships with potential candidates
  • Collaborate with HR to coordinate the onboarding process for selected candidates, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization. Prepare and extend employment offers, negotiate terms as needed, and follow up to ensure successful onboarding
  • Track and analyze recruitment metrics, such as time-to-fill, source of hire, and candidate conversion rates. Generate reports and provide insights to management to optimize the recruitment process and drive continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Proven experience as a Recruiter, preferably within the media or advertising industry
  • Solid understanding of recruitment best practices and sourcing techniques
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality
  • Passion for the media industry and staying up-to-date with industry trends
  • Tolerance for ambiguity; creative problem-solving; a willingness to independently research and identify solutions when established approaches may not be known

The role

The Media Supervisor directs the media team’s day-to-day activities on specific client account(s), ensuring execution and quality of media activities that support effective, innovative, and strategic solutions. Supervises, trains and supports Media Planners and Assistant Media Planners, ensuring quality control and that timeliness are met for all work products. Reports into account AMD/MD, overseen by GMDs.


Essential Functions

Responsibilities

  • Team Development & Internal Communication
  • Supervises, coaches and supports Media Planners and/or Assistant Media Planners in day-to-day activities developing and executing media plans
  • Ensures deadlines are met and oversees quality control for all work products, ensuring all errors are caught and corrected.
  • Trains and develops Media Planners and/or Assistant Media Planners; interviews and hires, mentors and trains, allocates work, audits work, and conducts performance reviews
  • Provides media team with client perspectives, insights, goals and strategies
  • Communicates effectively with supervising GMD and/or MD, keeping him/her abreast of project status and flagging and elevating concerns
  • Sets a high bar for creativity, strategic rigor, and account management that inspires the team. Produces work that delivers on client goals and gains industry recognition for its creativity and results

Client & Account Management

  • Manages day-to-day expectations and communications with client. Establishes a true partnership in client’s business by gaining and maintaining a deep understanding of business needs and issues faced. Maintains a vocal, visible role in all major internal and client meetings.
  • Participates in developing long-term strategy plans that generate measurable results, with a focus on new and emerging media opportunities to help drive the clients’ and agency’s business. Ascertains client’s needs and key media challenges and recommends effective solutions.
  • Maintains thorough, up-to-date knowledge of client’s business (market share, business priorities, key competitor strategies, etc.), monitoring progress and accuracy of all communication plans, assignments and projects.
  • Clearly identifies and communicates key media deliverables in terms of accountability and performance.

Media Strategy & Landscape Expertise

  • Develops, writes, and assists the team in presenting media recommendations and POV’s.
  • Constantly seeks and creates creative opportunities in both media choice and usage to increase visibility/impact; seeks ways to merchandise media team’s work to client.
  • Cultivates excellent relations within the media sales community.
  • Stays abreast of key developments/trends/issues in media (e.g., population, demographic, lifestyle, media usage changes).
  • Actively participates in new business pitches

Our Must-Haves

  • At least 4 years experience as a Media Planner in a media agency. Experience managing other team members (ie. assistant media planners, or planners) required.
  • Exceptional written, verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of employees, vendors and clients.
  • Ability to write concise, reasoned, and inspired media presentations, and present to clients with confidence.
  • A demonstrated track record of gaining trust and respect by consistently demonstrating sound creative, strategic, and analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong interpersonal / professional relationship with employees, vendors, clients, etc.
  • Demonstrated strong command of Media Research resources, capabilities and limitations.
  • Demonstrated self-confidence (and track record) in championing innovative, bold and game-changing ideas.
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to apply critical thinking and analysis in writing.
  • Strong math and analytical skills, with a working comprehension of strategy development and required media math.
  • Demonstrated understanding of consumer insights and how to put insights into action.
  • Skilled negotiator with a track record of open and fair negotiations.
  • Strong attention to detail.
