The Media Planner supports in the development of effective, innovative, and strategic solutions and is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and execution of approved media plans. Reports directly to the Media Supervisor.
Essential Functions
Account & Client Management
  • Produces work that delivers on client goals and gains industry recognition for its creativity and results. Constantly seeks and creates creative. opportunities in both media choice and usage to increase visibility/impact.
  • Responsible for day-to-day maintenance of assigned accounts (billing issues, budget revisions, flowchart updating, competitive analyses, post-buy analyses, etc.). Maintains detailed and accurate records. Monitors media agreements and contracts with outside media vendors.
  • Contributes to the development and direction of media strategies and POV’s. Conducts media research, brainstorms, evaluates data, and develops points of view. Understands various media and their applications against client strategies and goals.
  • Maintains thorough, up-to-date knowledge of client’s business (market share, business priorities, key competitor strategies, etc.).
  • Communicates effectively with Media Supervisor, keeping him/her abreast of day-to-day status and flagging and elevating any concerns.
Vendor & Media Evaluation
  • Owns communication with both internal (buying teams and specialists) and external resources (publications, websites, etc.), to gather and negotiate costs and plan details. Evaluates partners for their relevance in accomplishing client’s strategic goals.
  • Evaluates inventory against audience segments for a range of media vehicles (display, video, mobile, paid social, native) to determine which would most effectively reach target audience.
  • Studies demographic data/consumer profiles to identify desired target audiences for online advertising.
  • Calculates campaign forecast/projected results, reach and frequency of potential media vehicles.
  • Stays abreast of key developments/trends/issues in media (e.g., population, demographic, lifestyle, media usage changes).
  • Maintains effective relationships with media vendors, ensuring Noble People is represented in a positive way.
Campaign Execution & Maintenance
  • Monitors campaign timelines to ensure proper progression of media buys, such as timely issuance and receipt of client authorizations, delivery of paperwork to vendors, specs to creative agencies, delivery of creative assets to vendors, etc.
  • Responsible for the preparation of insertion orders and placement of advertising with media vehicles.
  • Using multiple sources of external data, perform campaign analysis directly relevant to, and to assist in, optimizations, planning, and/or buying decisions.
  • Implements, traffics, troubleshoots, and analyzes digital campaigns using a third party ad server.
  • Monitors media for pacing, delivery, placement, and flight-date discrepancies and negotiates credit or billing adjustments when necessary.
  • Mentors and delegates to Assistant Media Planners on daily tasks in order to grow the Assistant’s knowledge base and expand individual management skills.
Requirements
  • At least 1.5 years experience as a Media Planner in a creative media agency with hands-on digital planning experience including buying, implementation, analytics, and optimization.
  • Experience managing an Assistant Media Planner preferred.
  • Experience in digital and social activation including familiarity with Google Double click (trafficking and reporting) and Social UIs (Facebook/Twitter/Pinterest, etc).
  • Working knowledge of ad servers and Google Analytics required.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize with multiple projects and clients with different timelines and deliverables.

The Media Supervisor directs the media team’s day-to-day activities on specific client account(s), ensuring execution and quality of media activities that support effective, innovative, and strategic solutions. Supervises, trains and supports Media Planners and Assistant Media Planners, ensuring quality control and that timeliness are met for all work products. Reports directly to the GMD/MD.

Essential Functions

Team Development & Internal Communication

  • Supervises, coaches and supports Media Planners and/or Assistant Media Planners in day-to-day activities developing and executing media plans. Ensures deadlines are met and oversees quality control for all work products, ensuring all errors are caught and corrected.
  • Trains and develops Media Planners and/or Assistant Media Planners; interviews and hires, mentors and trains, allocates work, audits work, conduct performance reviews and recommends pay increases.
  • Provides media team with client perspectives, insights, goals and strategies.
  • Communicates effectively with supervising GMD and/or MD, keeping him/her abreast of project status and flagging and elevating concerns.

Client & Account Management

Requirements

  • At least 4 years experience as a Media Planner in a creative media agency.  Experience managing other team members (ie. assistant media planners, or planners) required.

  • Ability to write concise, reasoned, and inspired media presentations, and present to clients with confidence.

The Digital Activation Specialist supports with ad trafficking across multiple channels, campaigns, and clients and is responsible for the oversight and tracking of communication streams with vendors, clients, and external agencies to launch media effectively. Reports directly to the Director, Activation.

Essential Functions

Account & Client Management

  • Produces work that adheres to timelines while seeking to refine processes within the role for seamless workstreams between the Ad Ops Specialist and other departments / projects leads.
  • Oversight for day-to-day campaign execution needs and maintenance. Maintains detailed tracking of current project statuses. Monitors campaigns to ensure execution excellence.
  • Leads communication with clients and vendors for all matters related to execution, including but not limited to ad specs, creative delivery, media trafficking, timelines, and status updates.
  • Communicates effectively with internal teams, keeping them abreast of day-to-day status and flagging and elevating any concerns related to campaign execution.

Campaign Execution & Maintenance

  • Sets executional timelines to ensure proper progression and delivery of specs, creative assets, and trafficking requests as needed on an ongoing basis.
  • Communicate with internal teams for project updates / questions / understanding of media execution needs, as well as clients for creative
  • Setting expectations for turnaround times on executional asks, and vendors for any spec related questions.
  • Manages the day-to-day trafficking of digital assets (banners, HTML5, dynamic ads, video, etc.).
  • Ensures digital trafficking is accurate, tracks ads appropriately, and troubleshoots any problems that may occur with Planning teams.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role with hands-on digital trafficking experience required.
  • Working knowledge of ad servers, Google Tags Manager, Google Analytics required.
  • Experience with multiple vendor pixel types (Search Ads 360, Display and Video 360, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) preferred.

Digital Activation Specialist

The Local OOH Supervisor leads the agency’s out of home process on a day-to-day basis and manages outdoor media investment (including traditional, non-traditional, and experiential) by negotiating, placing, and maintaining all buys across the account list. 

The Supervisor manages planning to support effective, innovative, and strategic solutions. Trains and works alo the Media Planners and Assistants to ensure plans are executed correctly, timelines are met and work product exceptional. Helps Media Directors and Group Directors with strategy, outside the box thinking and client relationships. 

Reports directly to the Local Activation Group Director. The ideal candidate has worked in small, nimble environments in both out of home planning and buying, with exposure to a variety of brands and categories.

Essential Functions

Responsibilities

  • Manage day to day OOH planning and buying duties from start to finish, including briefing, planning, execution, and post campaign analysis.
  • Work closely with planning teams across accounts to ensure all OOH details are provided to clients accurately.
  • Work closely with Comms/Strategy team to ensure any local activation / non-traditional ideas are feasible and realistic from a timing, budget, and executional standpoint. 
  • Negotiate with vendors to ensure all buys deliver on planning and client’s goals and budgets.
  • Present recommendations to clients.
  • Lead, manage and train Broadcast Negotiator, Planners & Assistants.
  • Stay on top of industry trends, bringing new and innovative thinking to clients.

Requirements:

  • 3-5+ yrs. OOH Planning/Buying experience.
  • Strong understanding of the OOH industry, market landscape, and major media partners.
  • Strong knowledge of OOH measurement/attribution and comfortability in evaluating and recommending a measurement partner.
  • Strong knowledge of programmatic and pDOOH landscape and trusted partners.
  • Proficient in Geopath Insights.
  • Experience across various brands, client verticals and budget levels.
  • Skilled negotiator with a track record of open and fair negotiation.

  • Ability to write concise, reasoned, and inspired media presentations, and present to clients with confidence.
  • A demonstrated track record of gaining trust and respect by consistently demonstrating sound creative, strategic, and analytical thinking skills.
  • You’re a multitasking master - servicing multiple client and planning requests across accounts.
  • You’re interested in doing creatively led media planning - and are comfortable putting custom, cherry-picked recommendations together.
  • You have strong communication skills and know how to maintain and foster relationships with people internally at the agency and externally in the marketplace.
  • You’re incredibly detail-oriented.
  • You’re amazing at managing expectations and are comfortable pushing back when things just aren’t doable. 
  • Some travel and after-hours work required.
